AADPT

AADPT stands for Annual Average Daily Pedestrian Traffic. AADPT represents the average pedestrian count per day at a given location throughout the course of one year and is estimated via loop counters, blue tooth sensors, temporary counters, and more. AADPT can be measured using permanent counters or can be derived via short-duration temporary counts that are expanded and then normalized to represent a full year.

An AADPT value may be used to calibrate pedestrian analyses, but it is not a separate analysis type like 2017 AADT. Learn more about calibrating bike and pedestrian metrics
